The Corny Project

The photography exhibition “The Corny Project” is a space where corn chips transcend their role as a mundane snack and become a metaphor for transience—moments that vanish before they can be captured. Their fragility reveals the illusory nature of stability and the illusion of permanence on which we often base our sense of reality. What seems familiar and obvious reveals unexpected universes of meaning through successive transformations, like miniature cosmoses trapped within crisp matter.

In this constant mutation, a mundane object becomes a vehicle for existential reflection. The crisps take on the role of makeshift survival strategies—minor delusions, microscopic illusions through which we organize our experience of the world. In the spirit of light deconstruction, the project does not ask “what does the crisp represent?”, but rather “what purpose do our games of appearances serve?”.
