Sputnik no_14
The exhibition presents projects by participants of the 14th edition of the mentorship program of Sputnik Photos. It brings together 17 authorial works developed over several months of work on individual photographic projects in collaboration with the program’s mentors.
The presented works address a wide range of themes. They include family histories and questions of historical memory, social experiences and relationships with place. Some projects take on a more personal character, touching on issues of identity, the body, and everyday life.
Participants work with a variety of visual strategies. Alongside more classical documentary approaches, the exhibition includes participatory projects, work with archives, and collage. Some works involve performative actions with the camera or construct more abstract images of experience.
The exhibition is accompanied by a collective publication prepared by the participants of the program. The book is available on site during the exhibition and online on the Sputnik…
