Admission is free "Na Bobrku" is an exhibition dedicated to the final phase of the "Bobrek" Coal Mine's operation as an active mining facility. The presented works address the closure of the production process and the resulting spatial and social transformations, capturing the transitional state between active operation and the decommissioning process.
The photographs focus on the mine's infrastructure—its architecture, technical equipment, and underground spaces—as well as on portraits of the facility's employees, depicted within the context of their work and its surrounding environment. Simultaneously, the activities and practices that structured the mine's operations have been documented. Documentation of the Barbórka (Miners' Day) celebrations and the ceremony for the extraction of the last ton of coal has been included as a record of threshold events,…
