Landscape as a Field of Tension

The exhibition presents works by two artists – photographer Jacek Poremba and painter Bartosz Kokosiński – who approach the contemporary landscape from different perspectives at a time of instability and transformation within the global order.

The exhibition includes photographs by Jacek Poremba in which fragments of the landscape are illuminated with red light. This gesture may evoke a warning sign, an alarm signal, or a trace of interference in the natural structure of the landscape. The red light cutting through vegetation and fragments of the terrain sometimes resembles a wound – as if the landscape were registering tensions present in the contemporary world.

The exhibition also features paintings by Bartosz Kokosiński, in which simplified or partially destroyed military motifs appear, painted in oil.
