Bigorexia

The paper tells the story of Bigorexia, or (a dysmorphophobic disorder that involves an unhealthy body image and an obsessive desire to gain more muscle mass). The work consists of a virtual sculpture located on the projection, and a real small sculpture located in front of it.

Both sculptures relate in form to the body of a person affected by this disorder (after using various aids such as steroids or sythol, for example). The small sculpture is a kind of translation of the idea of the sculpture of Venus of Willendorf turned into a male form, and a modernization of her. Virtual sculpture is a de-realized version of real sculpture, unlike small sculpture is not static and reacts to the sounds of the gym in the background.
